Dr Rohan Gett graduated with honours from the University of New South Wales before commencing internship and residency at Concord Hospital. Advanced training in general surgery was attained through the central Sydney network mainly based at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital with a Royal Australian College of Surgeons Fellowship awarded in 2005. Dr Gett then completed further Fellowships in Colorectal Surgery through the Prince of Wales Hospital and St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne before commencing as a Colorectal Surgeon and Lecturer in Surgery for the University of New South Wales in 2007. Dr Gett practises Colorectal Surgery through the St Vincent’s campus and consults through St Vincent’s Clinic.
Dr Gett’s professional interests include the surgical management of colon and rectal cancer and the management of inflammatory bowel disease and anorectal disorders. Dr Gett has further interests in laparoscopic colorectal surgery, endoscopy and chairing the Colorectal Cancer Multidisciplinary Meeting at St Vincent’s Hospital. Dr Gett is the Director of Medical Student Education for the University of New South Wales / St Vincent’s Clinical School and therefore, teaches and researches through the University of New South Wales.
