St Vincent’s Clinic Foundation is pleased to launch the inaugural “De Angeli Cancer Research Grant” and is now seeking expressions of interest from currently enrolled or intending to enrol higher degree research students (PhD/Masters) or early career researchers (who have completed a PhD/Masters by research degree in the past 5 years**) across St Vincent’s Darlinghurst Campus.
Since 1992, St Vincent’s Clinic Foundation has provided much-needed funding to support bright upcoming researchers, helping them put their research into real-world practice to improve patient care and health outcomes for the community. The new De Angeli Cancer Research Grant will support researchers in kick-starting their cancer research projects and fund pilot projects that can develop into larger investigations with important findings in this crucial area of health research.
CANDIDATES: Currently enrolled or intending to enrol higher degree research students (PhD/Masters) or early career researchers (who have completed a PhD/Masters by research degree in the past 5 years **) from St Vincent’s Darlinghurst Campus only. Preference may be given to those applicants with no other current funding or grant sources.
FIELD OF STUDY: Cancer-related research.
AMOUNT: Up to $100,000 pa (to be split between salary and research consumables at the discretion of the Foundation).
TERM: Up to three years.
DEADLINE: 5.00 pm on 14 December 2018. Finalists may be required to provide additional information and/or attend an interview. The grant recipient will be formally announced in early 2019.
