2016 Sandra David Oration to be presented by Hon Sussan Ley MP

The St Vincent’s Clinic Foundation is pleased to announce that Hon Sussan Ley MP Minister for Health, Aged Care, Sport  will deliver the 2016 Sandra David Oration on 28 September at St Vincent’s Clinic. The title of the Minister's presentation is Healthy and happy – a new era for Australia’s mental health care.

The 2016 Excellence Awards for Clinical Researchers and the 2017 Research Grant Awards & Multidisciplinary Patient Focused Grant Awards will also be presented at the event.

The Sandra David Oration is an annual event held in honour of Sandra David, a former Sister of Charity and alumnus of St Vincent’s College. Sandra’s family established the Sandra David Oration in her honour.

The 2016 Excellence Awards for Clinical Researchers and the 2017 Research Grant Awards & Multidisciplinary Patient Focused Grant Awards are presented by St Vincent’s Clinic Foundation to support research with a focus on improving clinical care.

St Vincent’s Clinic Foundation passionately believes that quality research underpins quality clinical care.  The Foundation also recognises the difficulty that some researchers have in securing funding for new projects and the importance of providing the opportunity for clinicians to be involved in research.
