Bench to Bedside Panel Discussion 2023 You are here:HomeNewsroomNews On Wednesday 25 October 2023, St Vincent’s Clinic Research Foundation hosted its annual Bench to Bedside event at the Mint, where we celebrated our 2024 Grant Recipients – the future of medical research. Our panel, featuring Dr Craig Haifer and A/Prof Susan Tomlinson, offered their unique perspectives on the incredible journey from laboratory research to real-world healthcare solutions. Dr Haifer shared groundbreaking research on the gut microbiome and its role in advancing orally administered fecal microbial transplantation for patients undergoing cancer treatment and those with autoimmune diseases. A/Prof Tomlinson discussed treatment options for persistent migraines, a growing public health concern. She emphasized the significance of multidisciplinary research in developing Sydney’s first dedicated headache clinic. Thank you to all who joined us and to our generous donors.
